Rates for Editing Services

Editing Cost Estimate

In order to estimate costs for editing services, we will edit a chapter or other unit of your manuscript. Based on the level of editing required, we will provide an estimate of time required, along with a cost estimate range, from an estimated minimum cost to a guaranteed maximum. Specific hourly rates for the manuscript will be determined by the nature of the subject matter, the type of editing needed, and in keeping with the Editorial Freelances Association fee schedule, below. If the entire manuscript requires less editing than anticipated based on the first chapter or unit, you will be charged the hourly rate, even if it does not equal the estimated minimum cost. If more editing is required, you will be charged only as much as the guaranteed maximum cost.
